Hey, time for a progress update!

I just wanted to tell you guys that I have made my dollar, and some more…
But then a question arrived from a friend of mine, how much money have you made online?

Oh yeah, he means since the start of trying to make money online.
I have done numerous websites, and once had a pretty active social community online..

So how much have I made?
When I add everything together from all my sources, I find that I have made a whopping $7,387 from all my online fiddling. Not too bad actually, so where did this money come from?

A social community site that I ran for a few years, then there is some from blogging.
I also earn some money on a graphing page that I run, where I graph the real estate for sale in Norway.

I have had some limited success with porn, yes, it is a bit embarrassing, but capitalism rules.
I ran a TGP site, but did not see the future in that.

There are more ideas that I have that needs to be developed, so if you’re the type of person – I would be glad to work with you on some of mine or your projects!

So you want to make money online, huh?

Today I am teaching you how you can make money online in 2008!

A lot of people have tried, and some have succeeded, I just want to say «as long as you persist, you will be successful.», which is one of my favourite quotes – because it is true.

This also goes under «Try to get lucky!», and by that I mean actually being out there to get lucky, not sitting at home dreaming.

So, ways to make money online in 2008.

1. Blogging for money
   This is a boat that it’s hard to get in these days, but still some of us make it.
   I have focused a lot on blogging here, but there are also other ways.
2. Gold farming
   Yeah, Gold farming in World of Warcraft is still a way that a lot of people make money online.
   A lot of people are playing, but to get stuff in WoW you need gold, and getting gold takes a long time.
   There are now a lot of somewhat professional companies focusing on grinding for gold in WoW and sell it for real dollars in the real world to addicted gamers.
3. Niche stores
   Niche stores have been in for a long time, and there is still a possibility to make a good turnaround from this sort of business model. There are already a lot of niche stores, so the competition could be hard.
   But with the right amount of hard work and marketing, it should still be possible.
4. Affiliate networks
   There are a variety of affiliate networks to choose from, I have written a bit more in detail about it in my post 5 ways of making money from your blog.
   Try promoting a product every once in a while, maybe you can see this as a new possible way of income?
5. Sell your own stuff
   Do you make anything? Drawings? Cards? Music? Anything? Possibility is that you can sell it. People seem to buy everything these days, just look at the classic story where a 13 year old spends 2 million dollar on a helicopter on ebay.
6. Social communities
   Do you have a killer idea for a social community? Put it to good use instead of just holding on to the idea, I have the capability to get code and hosting done, so don’t hesitate to ask me for help!
7. Sell your typing skills
   If you are good at writing articles, you can sign up with a site where you get paid per article.
   For example Associated Content which pays you from what I have heard (I have not tried it) between $6 and up and over $10 per article, based on your writing skills.

The single and most important thing I have learned from trying to make a good living is that as long as I work hard and as long as I stay on the track that I have selected, I will get to the end of that track – there might not be a big basket of money at each stop, and there are some dead ends, but in the long run this is what have shown most success.

The other important thing is to have a plan, this goes for trying to get a job, trading equities and everything else in life. When you have a plan, you know when to stop losses and take the loss you have, but also when something is going in the right direction!
